According to Walt Disney World News.com “American Idol will be coming to Wald Disney Parks and Resort. According to the site it is going sometime later this year. The exact date has not been announced as of yet. The exact location
of the show will be at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, formerly known as MGM studios. The best part is that you the guest can be part of the show. Each day guests will be allowed to audition for the show, and even perform live on the stage and compete. They are still working out the exact judging process and how the final judges will be. Of course it would not be an American Idol experience if they do not have the actual audience participation. You will have to audition in front of a producer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios than you will go through a preparation process and even be allowed to work with a vocal coach. The person who wins the Grand Finale will have a reserved spot for the regional auditions of the real American idol show. Basically that means that you will not have to wait in line. So in order to be among the first to experience this you should sign up for the Walt Disney World news letter. This way you will be kept up to date eon all the latest events and you will even be notified as to when this new ride will be opening. Once they are open you just have to get admission to the park and register to compete and enjoy the fun. Your best option to avoid the long line that is sure to be there every day at the attraction is to stay at one of the Disney World Resorts. This way you will be close enough to arrive exactly when the park opens. Many are wondering if this will suddenly make the park twice as crowded as ever before. Of course when it first opens you can count on it to be very crowded.
