The question before us today here is whether Acai berry juice could carry any risk of side effects. “Can a food carry a risk of side effects at all?” One may wonder. Are there any potentially harmful components within Acai berry juice?

As someone who has bought a fair amount of store-grade quality of Acai berry juice this author can attest to the flavor and taste of Acai berry juice to be delicious. So there seems to be no drawback on that aspect of the product.

No. The questions arise when people from all walks of life are being offered the Acai berry extracts, and juices as weight loss aids, or for detox.

There may yet possibly be some sort of undiscovered, accumulative toxicity to Acai berry juice, and there may not. The larger focus should be upon which individual vitamins and minerals, in whatever dosages they come in, do not either overdose you on any one particular vitamin, or interact with any currently prescribed medication.

Vitamins and minerals within Acai berry juice are still just as much a “chemical” as is any other “chemical.” When any sorts of chemicals mix any sorts of results can be had. A nurse once pointed out to me that something so simple as an overdose of vitamin A can be a dangerous thing. So it stands to reason that if a food source is loaded up, even “naturally” on a high concentration of vitamins and minerals, could there not be harmful reactions?
