If you are a businessman, you must travel to look for business or else you wouldn’t have any profits at all.
But if you are not a businessman, you can delegate to others if the meeting can do without you. When your subordinate comes back, she can report to you. If you and you alone take up all the travelling duties, well it will show you are a good worker but you will deny your subordinates the experience to learn because the day will come when you retire and imagine if the next person takes over without knowing much about the work.
What do you think? Answer below!

I agree. I travel for business and I have grown to dislike it very much, especially since I have a family and it is time that I will never have again. So I avoid any unnecessary travel at all costs.
I disagree with that statement. Traveling for business is completely different than traveling for pleasure. Business travel usually takes people to places that they may not normally go for a vacation. While they are there, they are conducting business for most of the day and do not have a lot of time to sightsee or enjoy free time. But if you travel for pleasure, you will choose to go where you “want” to go – not where you “have” to go. You can go somewhere to just lie on the beach – can’t do that for business (unless you have a job I’d love to have!). You can go on a cruise or take a driving trip to somewhere you’ve never been. You can fly to Europe and take trains through different countries. This all requires travel, but classifying it as “unnecessary” is not completely accurate. Vacations are not considered a necessity, but if you consider the time spent on a vacation is a reward for all your hard work during the year, a time to relax and spend time “me” time, and a time to cherish with your family, then it is necessary.
So avoiding “unnecessary” travel is depriving yourself (and your family, if applicable) of seeing the world, experiencing new things, and getting the most out of life!
