Morocco is fantastic, and still quite cheap.I travelled around 3 years ago with my ex , and we spent about 1,000 pounds in a month. We bought quite a lot of things also, as its difficult not to buy , especially in Marrakesh. Our hotels cost around about8 pounds a night, and they were fine.Travelling on buses was as cheap as chips, and even sharing grand taxis was cheap also.We spent most of our time in the South, and had a great time.
Less than 20 quid / day.
I´ve spent 360 quid in 20 days, including ferry from Algeciras and sharing rented car with a friend. Drove from Tanger to Zagora.
Never paid more than 6 quid per night in a hostel (sharing a double).
You can find hostels for 100-200 Dirham /double room = 6 to 12 GPB.
A cous cous is about 3 quid. Sharing.
I was even able to get a few “souvenirs” …..
100200$
