According to World Travel and Tourism Council, Romania is the 8th fastest growing tourist destinations for 2008. The top 10 list is as below:

I knew Romania is among the fastest growing destinations of 2008 but I didn’t know the exact place. thanks for clarifying this.
Indeed, Romania seem to have lost the start right after the communism fall , when the other countries’ tourism developed very fast (Croatia’s or Czech Republic’s for example) but it has a lot to show, both nature and history, so it was just a matter of time until people discovered Romania as a travel destination.
